Paramedic arrested for attempting to murder partner on duty

Paramedic Justin Newmixon could no longer stand the annoying habits of his partner EMT Jeff Synagoton. Newmixon repeatedly asked for shift and crew assignment changes and was always denied. This morning he cracked and tried to choke his partner in the parking lot of local Whole Foods store.

The fight stems from a few key issues. First is that of EMT Synagoton’s inability to drive, made worse by his constant talking on his cell phone when driving. Second as driver Synagoton insisted on controlling the radio, only playing Hipster bands like Vampire Weekend and MGMT. Lastly the young EMT insistence on only eating Vegan and organic foods, making meal breaks a pain in the ass.

According to transcripts of the interview with Newmixon his partner would drive at unreasonable speeds, only breaking at the last second for stop signals. In addition he claims EMT Synagoton was always changing lanes swerving in traffic. The out of control driving was making Newmixon car sick.

At one point in the interview Justin stated “I just couldn’t take it anymore. There isn’t enough Dramamine in the world to help with his inability”.

Things apparently came to a head today when Synagoton insisted on going to Whole Foods for lunch. Newmixon had been forced to eat salad type shit all week and wanted a good old roast beef sandwich. Newmixon even pointed out they could stop at a local sub shop that had vegetarian options. But Synagoton would not accept vegetation he only eats vegan. So as driver Synogoton insisted on Whole Foods, as the deli there could make them both what they wanted.

“There was not way I was going to eat at ‘Whole Paycheck’ again. I have to take a dam overtime shift each week just to cover my lunch bills riding with this little ingrate.”

Apparently on the drive across town Newmixon’s anger started to boil over. The constant swerving in traffic, mixed in with some crappy hipster band yodeling pushed him to the breaking point.

Witnesses describe how they saw Newmixon step from the ambulance walk up to his partner and “choke slam” him to the ground. Newmixon then continued to strangle his partner while also slamming his head into asphalt. Some onlookers tried to break up the one-sided fight but were unable to fully disengage an enraged Newmixon from his victim. Upon police arrival at the scene a TASER was used to finally subdue Newmixon.

Initially Synagoton was pulse less/non breathing. A store manager started CPR and did administer a shock with an AED. Other paramedics arrived on scene and were able to stabilize EMT Synagoton. He is stable now and expected to make a full recover according to sources at the ER.

Officials with the EMS service were not willing to comment on the record. Off the record they did acknowledge that Synagoton was a poor EMT and they were working to discipline him for his poor driving habits.
