In a startling interview today Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson both revealed they have met non-racist cops. The two were talking on a morning talk radio program. After a string on callers all bashed the NYPD for being racist due to the “stop-n-frisk” law, a caller asked if the two ever had a positive interaction with police.
Sharpton stunned listers when he talked about meeting some non racist cops. Jesse Jackson quickly added that he knew cops all over this nation who are not racist.
The revelation must have been too much for the DJ hosting the radio show, as Jesse Jackson was cut off in favor of playing the newest hit Jay-Z song.
After the song the radio station went right to a comercial break.
Upon returning to the air the show hosts apologized for the technical glitch that cut Jesse Jackson off mid sentence.
Both Sharpton and Jackson then seemed to back peddle. Sharpton said that he once met one cop who “seemed nice enough” but still got a racist vibe off the guy.
It was then Jackson’s turn to clarify his story. Jackson said he has met “a few black cops who are willing to treat fellow black people with respect”.
The show continued on with a string of more callers all bashing police officers. Jackson and Sharpton made no other comments that would put the police in a positive light.
