Officers Andrew Clark and John Bender were recalled from Basic SWAT training school and are facing a suspension pending the investigation of their supper from Sunday Night. The pair traveled four hours to Central Lake, WI Sunday afternoon for a class that started on Monday morning. Once checked into their hotel the duo wanted food and went to the nearest restaurant, a Tilted Kilt located in the motel parking lot.
Tilted Kilt is a popular chain in the sub genera of eating establishments known as breastaurant. Waitresses wear a uniform that consists of a mini kilt, white shirts with an exposed plaid bra.
The police chief has in policy that officers away at training are not allowed to use the city credit card at any place of questionable morals. The policy does not specifically name Tilted Kiltt, but does name other breastaurants. It also mentions “and any other location deemed morally unfit for a Police officer as deemed by the chief”.
The union has in the past raised issue with the wording of that policy but has yet to win a re-drafting. Chief Carl was reviewing the Card account online after lunch on Monday when he saw the charge. Immediately he called Central Lake Technical College demanding his men be withdrawn from the class and return to the city.
Officer Clark is livid. “I have never heard of this place. How were we to know it was part of that vague policy? We had a server who had more skin covered than most women at the city pool in summer time. If it is not moral to eat at that restaurant then I guess it should not be moral for the city to have some of the parks we have.”
Officer Bender echoed the complaint. “I had to re-arrange all kinds of day-care and school transportation issues for my son. Now I missed this training and am sitting on suspension for an alleged violation of policy that I doubt will be upheld.”
Chief Carl declined to comment on the record citing employee privacy laws with discipline.
We will update this story as it unfolds.
